Can I play without an account?
You can spin the globe, visit cities, read guestbooks and build an unsaved practice city. A saved city needs a GameNow login.
How long is a settlement?
Currently 2 minutes, with 12 settlements to a fiscal year. The top bar counts down to the next one, when taxes are collected and upkeep paid.
What happens while I'm away?
The city grows at 30% speed, taxes and upkeep continue, and open events can expire, though no new ones start. A 'While you were away' card sums it up.
Does a new plot share my money?
No. Funds are kept per plot, and each new plot starts with its own $464K. Move between plots with the direction buttons at the bottom of the city panel.
Can two players build the Eiffel Tower?
No. Each of the 20 landmarks exists once in the world and belongs to whoever builds it first. Each needs 30,000 to 120,000 residents in that one plot.
